Verizon mobile network is the second-largest wireless network communication in the United States. It offers various products like smartphones, tablets, mobile hotspots, business 5g devices, internet plans etc.
Verizon phones have a lot of unique features. Some of the features can be annoying if you don’t know how to use them or disable them from your phone.
Read Report Will Be Sent
Read report is a feature of Verizon messaging app. A recipient receives the notification pop-up “Read report will be sent” on the Verizon phone screen after reading the message of sender.
However, constant pop-ups everytime you read a message can be irritating or you may not want to notify the sender. So here we will discuss all the features of this notification pop-up and how to deal with it.
When Do You Get Read Report
You get the read report only if the sender uses the Verizon network and Verizon messaging+ app. This is a good way to know when the recipient reads your message.
Moreover, you’ll also understand if the recipient is willing to reply to your message after receiving it. So, you can go after a smooth conversation.
How to Turn Off Verizon Read Report
If you don’t want to let sender know that you have read their messages you can simply turn the feature off from your Verizon phone application. In order to turn off Verizon read report, here are the steps:
- Open the Verizon Message App.
- Tap the hamburger icon from the upper left.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap the conversation and turn off the toggle switch beside Send Read Receipts.
- Restart the app.
What Happens When You don’t Receive Read Report
If you are not receiving read report from a particular number, it means the person (Receipient) has turned off the read report feature in the application. There are things which you can’t control. You will not be able to get read report until they turn the feature on.
Turning off Send Read Receipts on both Sides
On the other hand, It’s a little bit tricky for the receivers. Verizon may allow you to disable the read receipt as a receiver. However, if the sender has the feature enabled, a pop-up will appear saying “Confirm read report will be sent” whenever you read their message.
To fix this problem, the Send Read Receipts option needs to be disabled on both sides in Verizon Messages (Message+) app on your Android smartphone. You can request the sender to turn it off for your number only.
Make sure to restart your phone to work this function effectiely.
